In this Lularoe review I want to give you more than enough information so that you can decide if this is something you should get involved with.
After talking to a Lularoe consultant (my nephew), I actually found this to be a very interesting multilevel marketing business.
You can say that I didn't work hard enough and I am not good at “networking”, but I beg to differ.
I have had my downlines and all that, but recruiting people to join something that doesn't sell itself is not the way I think people should be doing business.
If it wasn't for affiliate marketing, I would probably still be trying to make one of these work, but that's not the case.
I make my living from home and I make all my income online, but I don't have to recruit a single person.
Yup, that's how I roll!
Now Lularoe might actually be different from almost every other multilevel marketing I've come across and I want to show you why within this Lularoe review.
Owner: DeAnne Stidham
Price: $5,000 – $6,000 (To become a consultant)
Overall Rating: 3/5 Stars
Multilevel marketing that uses clothing as its product.
The company was founded by DeAnne Stidham who actually created Lularoe by combining the names of her grandkids.
Lucy, Lola, and Monroe.
Not a bad name for a brand that actually means something, right?
The clothing is the main product and it is also the first of its kind.
At least this is the first for me.
They mostly create clothing for women and children, but they do have a few things for men.
You can expect a unique style with majority of them having some pattern to go along with some leggings and a little jacket of some sort.
Becoming a Lularoe Consultant
This is where things got complicated and this is also what might discourage some of you from wanting to become a Lularoe consultant.
In order to resell any of the clothing, you will need to get a sponsor.
Then you need to get familiar with the company and learn to become a distributor by listening to a recorded phone call.
A new Gmail account is required so you will need to create one specifically for Lularoe.
Once you have completed those steps, you will then get your personalized link which will give you access to the back office where you can also create your own account.
Remember that new email account you created?
Well this is what you need to use to send in your bank information.
Once they have received all your documents, the waiting game begins.
When you receive the confirmation call of your registration, you will then pay and wait for your shipment to arrive and start selling.
To join LuLaRoe you will need to fork out a minimum of $5,000. This will give you the rights to resell as well as get some clothing for you to start making commissions.
It's either $5,000 or $6,000 to get started but that doesn't include hangers or anything else that you need to store your merchandise.
Where Can You Buy LuLaRoe Clothing?
I thought you would be able to create a website and sell your own clothing online, but there are some rules that you need to follow or you can get the boot.
You also can't buy directly from the site and you can't just post your stuff all over the interweb.
However, you can use Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
If you want to purchase any of the clothing, you will need to get in touch with a consultant.
The consultant can also setup a popup boutique at home or create a Facebook page and have people interact through there.
That's about all I know as far as being able to sell the products to non affiliated LuLaRoe members.
Very unique style and definitely something trending.
It is designed mainly for women and children, but they actually have some clothing for men.
I guess it has a huge focus on women, but they had to have something for dad so that they can give them the go ahead in becoming a Lularoe consultant, right?
The Compensation Plan
Not your typical MLM style plan, but something that might be a little interesting for some of you failed network marketers, especially you women.
You will need to signup through one of the affiliates, which will also give them a commission from you joining as well as the clothing you sell.
That my friend is not a bad gig if you ask me.
I mean, imagine if you get a downline that can sell these things like hotcakes?
You wouldn't even need to purchase your own clothing to make money.
Now there are different levels that you can achieve by making a certain number of sales, which of course leads to more commissions and more money in your pocket.
- Fashion Consultant – Make 33 sales and remain an active Lularoe consultant
- Sponsors – Sell 175 products in a single month and tag on an extra 5% commission on sales made by your personal referrals
- Trainer – Have your downlines make an order of 1,750 pieces of clothing. This can be spread between all of your downlines as long as you come up with said amount.
- Coach – Reach this level and you get to make 1% of the sales from someone you've coached that becomes a trainer.
Extra complicated, but that's just how it is.
What's an MLM if it doesn't come with a comp plan that is hard to understand?
Pros & Cons of Lularoe
- Can make you money
- Clothing is rare
- Pretty hot commodity right now
- Products are good quality
- 1st MLM of its kind
- Pricey startup
- Can only be sold in the 50 states
- Application takes months before approval
- Clothing is not very affordable
Final Opinion of LuLaRoe
I think this is actually something you can consider if you have a solid network or you know you can sell this to a solid group of people.
This of course is not going to be the cheapest business to startup, so if you aren't confident in your marketing ability, you might want to start with something else.
Remember that this is a brand that people are looking to buy and you might just be that person to give them exactly that.
I'm not a big fan of network marketing, but I can see that no one is in this to take your money.
They have a very strict procedure when it comes to getting distributors, so you don't have much to worry about.
LuLaRoe is not a scam.
It might not work for everyone, but it's definitely not a scam.
What I Really Think
I think this is probably the best type of network marketing business I've ever come across and it's very rare that I actually like any of them.
If I wasn't making my living with affiliate marketing, I think I might have my other half become a consultant.
Now if you were to ask me what would be the best type of work fro home business to start, I would still have to say that affiliate marketing is the way to go.
Most people can't afford the $5,000 startup cost that comes with this and it leaves them looking for other things.
If you want to see how you can start an online business with the smallest investment possible, you need to give the Wealthy Affiliate a try.
It is a one of a kind business model and I'm sure you'll be impressed at how money is made and how it can allow you to make a solid income from home.
Other than that, thanks for reading my LuLaRoe review and I hope I have given you all the information you need on what everything is all about.
