Blogging is truly an amazing opportunity and although some might not see it, there are those of you that do.
Which explains why you are still plugging away at improving your existing blog.
Some of you might even still be in the process of trying to make that first $1, so know that you are doing a great job and your hard work WILL pay off as long as you don’t quit.
I repeat, DO NOT QUIT!
Wait, that was actually one of my tips.
I guess I can start that off as #1 and head right into #2, Right?
Now let’s get right into things.
So whether or not you are starting, improving, or even trying to make that first buck, I’m sure these blogging tips will help any of you bloggers who seriously want to make this a career.
I blog for a living and trust me guys, I am not the best writer, but I do talk about stuff that interest me all while getting paid in the process.
Now if you’re already thinking about the money, you might want to start reading.
1. ) Do Not Quit
I know I mentioned this already but I figured I can elaborate more.
Quitting is never a good thing in anything you do unless it consists of a bad habit or something that will benefit you.
In my case, I quit my job to live the life most people will only dream of and that is really what made all the difference.
Now when I started my first blog, I was told not to quit and that is exactly what I did.
Again, that made a world of a difference and it is also why I have been able to work from home for that past 5 years.
2.) Treat Your Blog Like a Business
Blogging is a real, deal, online business.
And if you can’t understand that much, now would be a great time to change the way you think.
Your mentality is a huge part of the blogging process and if you are thinking that you can make some side cash, then you might want to rethink the line of work you really want.
Change the way you think, dig deep, and blog with your passion or don’t blog at all.
This leads me into my next tip, which some of you might really need.
3.) Rethink Your Niche
Finding a niche is already a task and a half.
The problem here is that sometimes your first choice will not be your last.
I have personally started with two other niches before landing on at least one that I could seriously say that I enjoyed.
If you are working on a site that seems to be a bit bleh, you might want to consider doing something else.
This is also the same reason I believe you need more than one niche website, even if you will only be working with just one.
4.) Find something that Works
Finding a product or products on the internet is not going to be a problem.
You do need to find something that you KNOW will work and stick to that product.
You also need to be able to blog about things that are related to that product.
You DO NOT need to talk about that product but rather on topics related to that product.
Look at this blog, for example.
I promote products that work and has worked for me and I continue to sell these products.
I personally do not try to sell things that I know won’t work and that is something you should do as well.
I have a couple of blogs and this is one that makes me money over and over and over again.
Success is not going to happen overnight my friend and that is something you need to understand.
These other tips will help you understand what I am talking about.
5.) Blog Daily
This is going to be the biggest lesson when you decide to become a blogger.
Blogging daily or at least 3-4 times a week is going to make your blog that much more different from the competition.
The more you blog the more your website becomes credible.
Most people write one blog post and think they are going to get ranked above someone that has been around the block a few times which I think is ridiculous.
You probably also gave into some software that can make you get better rankings and what not but of course you found out that that doesn’t work.
There is NO SOFTWARE out there that will make you outrank someone that put in the work to create a quality blog post and posts.
The more you write, the more traffic you get.
That’s just how it works in the wonderful world of blogging.
I also use a keyword tool called Jaaxy that helps me find awesome keywords and I get my articles ranked easily simply because there is little to no competition.
Give this keyword a shot and see what I’m talking about.
Practice makes perfect and yes it applies to being a successful blogger.
Practice is something that works hand in hand with blogging and something you need to do to get proficient with blogging.
Rather than worrying about creating outstanding blog posts you should just blog to blog.
Do you get what I’m saying? The more posts you create makes your blog that much more credible.
If your blog does not look something like Wealthy Business Online then you are not doing it right my friend.
You should have a blog that looks like someone lives there and not like some ghost town.
7.) Write like you’re talking to someone
Blogging is something that you need to treat like you’re having a conversation with someone.
There is actually someone on the other end of your blog that you will be interacting with and if you have something that interests them it will make them want to share your blog which in turn will get you traffic.
You see how that works?
Get interactive with your audience and you will see how much traffic your blog can get.
You have to remember that you are actually talking to real people and people are actually looking for something that you have to offer.
DO NOT forget that we are living in the information age and people are actually looking for some type of information that you can offer via your blog.
8.) Keep Doing Whatever Works
If it ain’t broken then why fix it, right?
That is the same thing that applies when blogging.
Blogging is something that needs to be built from the ground up and is something that can make you very wealthy if you stick to it.
Just because you aren’t making any money within your first couple of weeks then please DO NOT be discouraged.
Time is all you need to make the money you will and should be making by your 3rd month.
If you believe in a specific product or products then keep at it and you will see how other people will believe in that product as well.
9.) Change Your Environment
In the beginning, working from my Mom’s dining table was enough.
Enough to get me started and enough for me to move on to bigger and better things.
After that, I eventually got distracted by the littlest things, which led me to finding alternatives to growing my business.
I have a decent sized office but with 4 kids, it is almost impossible to get anything done.
That is why I find myself at coffee shops and hotel lobbies a lot more than I would like but I find it necessary to get my best work done.
If you have the means to work outside of the house, go for it.
My balcony works great and by the pool also works great as well.
Whatever the case may be, change up your work environment and you’ll be that much more productive.
Blogging is fun but if you’ve been doing it for a while, you’ll know that it is like any other business out there.
Once the money starts rolling in, you will get complacent and sometimes you can’t put out quality content.
Or you might just be ready to produce more content or even start a new blog, which will allow for some extra hands.
Whatever fits your needs, I recommend you find at least one other writer to help contribute to your blog.
Doing this will open up many opportunities for your business but remain on top of things or you will get complacent and go back down the hill.
Blog your butt off.
Do what is needed to get you to where you want to be and don’t look back.
Trust me, I know how it is to be told that I will never make any money online and although it sucks, it only made me stronger.
So before you throw in the towel to join the 99% of people that fail online, use these tips.
Use them and don’t ever let anyone else dictate where your life will go.
I hope this post has helped you in one way or another and although I can go on with many other tips, I think this is enough to keep you on track.
Thanks for reading and happy blogging!
